Rounding out the design team are KJWW Engineering Consultants of Madison consulting for HVAC, plumbing and electrical, Plan Design, LLC landscape architects and Wyser Engineering, LLC of Mt. Horeb providing the civil engineering for the project.
Key sustainable strategies focus on energy savings through a very high efficiency HVAC system and the VRF system was chosen specifically for its high efficiencies in this part of the country and so that the building itself can be a teaching tool for the man and women that are coming here to learn the mechanical trade. Additionally, a high performance building shell, and skylights for daylighting were also incorporated and the building was designed to accommodate a rain water retention system in the future.
Work is scheduled to be completed August of 2017.
